Lawrence Grierson receives Teaching Excellence Award

Congratulations to Dr. Lawrence Grierson for being awarded the 2019 U21 Health Sciences Group Teaching Excellence Award!

This award celebrates and rewards exceptional educational scholarship and aims to encourage international collaboration across the U21 Health Sciences network. Each year there are two award recipients and they are funded to co-facilitate an educational workshop at following year’s U21 HSG Annual Meeting.

Lawrence Grierson is an Associate Professor with the Department of Family Medicine, Assistant Dean of the Health Sciences Education (HSED) Graduate Program and Scientist with the McMaster FHS Program for Education Research, Innovation & Theory (MERIT). Through this multi-faceted role, Grierson focuses on medical education research and supporting graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and clinician-educators and clinician-researchers.

The U21 Health Sciences Group is a global university network of Health Sciences staff and students that include members from 18 universities worldwide, and a collaborative group of Universitas 21.
